The Sustainable Inclusive Business (SIB) Kenya team held a meeting with the CEO and the Executive Director of Orange Climate on 30th January 2018 to share knowledge on the future of Sustainable innovations that have positive impact on People, Planet and Profit. Orange Climate is a Dutch Company that manufactures and distributes Climate Control and Light Systems that can be used in place of electrically powered Air Conditioners. This innovation can be the next new Sustainable way of Climate Control in Hospitals, Hotels, Big Buildings, Airports among other areas.

SIB-Kenya has been working with Orange climate by linking them to potential partners through Business to Business (B2B) engagements.  Last year, SIB-Kenya organised a Sustainable Innovation pitch even on behalf of Orange Climate which brought together investors and innovators of what is considered to be Sustainable and Inclusive Innovations in renewable energy and construction. One of the innovations is a PCM ceiling that works in place of an air-conditioning system.

We were also able to connect Orange Climate to 10 businesses in Kenya for a pilot of the PCM ceilings

As a result of these engagements Orange Climate has made a commitment to work closely with SIB-Kenya in finding ways to accelerate Sustainable innovations and in their pilot project where SIB-Kenya assist in mapping out beneficiaries for this innovative product
